It's a Biggie!
Hi all!
On the first day that feels like summer is finally back with us again, we thought it’d be a nice time to give you a little update on how things are going with us.
First of all, if you’ve been keeping an eye on our social feeds and what we’ve been up to, you’ll have seen that we’ve been right busy little bees.
During the third lockdown we used the time to finish work on Unit 2 and our new bar just next door from The Haunt. Neon (or, “Club Neon”, or “The Madhouse” as affectionately known by the team at various stages of inebriation) had its soft launch last week on Dom’s birthday, and we’re really excited for the full grand opening this weekend.
We’ve got fancy new glassware, big beers, only semi-ironic lighting, sofas, potted plants and candlesticks shaped like parrots and monkeys – so we reckon it’s pretty perfect.
This weekend Neon opens its doors for a busy Friday and a fully booked Saturday, and we’ll be extending to Sunday this weekend for what is shaping up to (hopefully) be an afternoon of glorious weather!
It's been so wonderful to have people back at the taproom, both outside and finally indoors. We've been kept afloat and cheerful by our amazing customers buying beers from us online or for takeouts , and now we get to thank you by actually welcoming you in!
Also on our calendar are a few more exciting events in the pipeline. We have some collab brews lined up with some breweries we absolutely love and can’t wait to work with, and are looking forward to the possibility of hosting proper launch events with them. We’re scheduled in to pour at Brew LDN this year alongside some absolutely cracking people in the business, too.
At the brewery we will be showing the Euros (all matches that fall within our opening hours!) and enjoy them over some fresh pints from the comfort of our own bar with our loyal customers. We’re also keeping a beady eye on the roadmap for unlocking as time goes on, in hopes that we will be able to have a proper grand reopening party when it does happen. While nothing is yet set in stone and every plan we make is all subject to it being safe to host by the event date, we want a real celebration as soon as we can. If you’ve missed Mariachi bands and shuffleboard as much as we have, keep your eyes on those dates.
We can't wait to share this with you all, and pick up where we left off. All we wanna do is have some fun, and we have a feeling we're not the only ones...
